What holiday film opening are you most excited for?

Although I'm going to screenings of a whole bunch of stuff over the next week (so look out for lots of reviews of things including Dreamgirls, Notes on a Scandal and Pan's Labrynth), It's The Children of Men (which I'm actually going to have to pay to see) that I'm most excited for.  What end of the year film(s) are you most excited for?

Hey Racheline! I'm very excited about one of the films you mentioned, "Notes on a Scandal," as I'm definitely a fan of both Cate Blanchet and Judy Dench. I think the thing I am most excited about is seeing Judy in this role...she looks positively evil!

It opens the 20th -- Rocky! (Jay Leno said he's getting so old that on the back of his boxing robe is an ad from the Scooter Store.....)

I'm into chick flicks, so I can't wait to see The Holiday with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. Jack Black looks hilarious.
Even though it has been out a week or so already, I still want to see "Ten Items or Less" with Morgan Freeman. It looks very good.

I want to see The Holiday, Night at the Museum, and We are Marshall. I hadn't heard of The Children of Men until I read this. I had to look it up, it sounds good. I might have to check it out too.

Janee, as a native New Yorker, I'm dying to see Night at the Museum, which I think speaks to a childhood fantasy nearly all of us here have had. I'd forgotten about it, thanks for reminding me!

I am interested in Mayan history so I was excited about Apocalypto. And yes, there are many problems surrounding the movie and problems with the movie itself, but one thing that I really liked was the recreation of the Mayan city. What a sight those huge painted Mayan pyramids must have been!

I want to see The Holiday, Happy Feet and Night at the Museum over the Christmas holiday. I'm also dying to see Venus, Notes on a Scandal and Children of Men. I did get a chance to see an early screening of Pan's Laybrinth, and it's amazing! My favorite foreign film of the year.

Another "Ten Items" vote. Not just for Morgan Freeman but also Paz Vega who was wasted in "Spanglish" but superb in "Sex and Lucia" before she ditched Spain for Hollywood.

I'm really looking forward to Children of Men. It's got a great cast and Alfonso Cuaron usually does something interesting. I'm also kind of excited for The Good German.

"The Pursuit of Happiness" starring Will Smith. His 8 year old son is also in the film, playing his son. The movie is a true story of a man who was living homeless on the street with his five year old son, but during the day worked as an unpaid trainee on Wall Street in order to one day have a better life. He ended up being a mega-millionaire.......

I think I will love to be at the movies for Dreamgirl's usually i wait and buy or rent the dvd's but this movie might make me actually make it to the theater.

The Painted Veil which we are going to see today... I also want to see Notes on a Scandal. QUEEN was just okay. Wouldn't pay to sit in a theatre with group of strangers to watch another predictable cute Rocky, but might just watch Casino Royale to see new 007, yummy.
