Jennifer Hudson Gives Birth to a Baby Boy

One of my favorite performers Jennifer Hudson gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Monday night, according to her publicist. She and her fiance David Otunga named the baby David Daniel Otunga, Jr. Hudson has been engaged to the actor for almost a year.

Hudson has had some serious ups and downs in the past year. Late last year she suffered the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in her Chicago home. Hudson did win an Oscar for her role in "Dreamgirls."

According to her publicist Lisa Kasteler, "The baby is beautiful and perfect." He weighs 14 ounces at birth.

CONGRATULATIONS Jennifer! Enjoy your beautiful baby boy and your soon-to-be hubby. You deserve it!

14 ounces? He must be a serious preemie. I hope, after the tragedy she suffered last year, that this was a typo and her baby boy is healthy and a sorce of joy rather than more worry and possible heartache.
