Tonight's season 9 premiere of American Idol featured the good, the bad, and the ugly auditions in Boston. One of the most memorable auditions wasn't based on a performance, but rather an altercation between Kara DioGuardi and impatient contestant Andrew Fenlon, an unemployed musician from Boston. Andrew is single ladies, but it will come as no surprise after you see this audition video.

Were you as annoyed by Scott as Kara and Victoria were? Or did he grow on you as he did Simon?

The person the 'boss' likes gets the promotion- if you have two people equally qualifie- the friendly person gets the job. Even the friendly above average beats the unfriendly excellent. It's all about people skills in the real world. Big lesson. Big. As for this kid, he needed to eat a cookie-get some sugar-or learn to carry trail mix & a book everywhere he goes. Or learn to talk to those around him and make new friends- you never know who knows whom. That first impression as he walked into room is a lasting one.
