***Update*** Lil Wayne was expceted to start his jail time on Tuesday, but that has now been postposed until March 2nd due to unfinished dental surgery.Â According to Access Hollywood, Wayne's defense lawyer Stacey Richman stated: "It isÂ a medical situation that, like (it would for) any of us, has to be addressed."Â -- Well, that was "perfect" timing!
Rapper Lil Wayne is to be sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty for a gun possession case that stems back in July of 2009.Â He admitted to illegally having a loaded gun on his tour bus during a New York City concert.Â His jail time will be served at Rikers Island, and could stay for 12 months.Â
Lil Wayne has been busy recording tracks, videos and spending time with family.Â He spoke with Rolling Stone Magazine stating:
â€œThis is Lil Wayne going to jail.Â Nobody I can talk to can tell me what thatâ€™s like.Â I just say Iâ€™m looking forward to it.â€
Wayne spent last night on Ustream saying his goodbyeâ€™s to his fans.Â He wants to make sure his fans donâ€™t forget about him and heÂ wants them to know he love all his fansÂ
His recent album Rebirth was released on Feb. 2nd.Â
