There's been a lot of negativity surrounding Miley Cyrus in the past week...or past year for that matter. The girl isn't really that bad though. If you were her age and a celebrity, just think of the trouble you'd be up to!
Miley had a very touching and open-minded moment Monday night that we should all recognize. At her performance at the House of Blues L.A., she performed a song off her new album titled, "My Heart Beats for Love". "I wrote this for my gay fans," Miley said. "Everyone has the right to love each other and no one should feel discriminated or judged for that."
I thought it was awesome and inspiring that she said this. Miley Cyrus is a role model to a lot of kids and it's important they get this message at an early age. Teenagers and tweens harassing each other is no joke. Think of the horrible news stories we've been hearing lately of kids committing suicide because they've been harassed! Hopefully her fans hearing about this message will become more tolerant of gay people than they already were.
However, while I love the message, I know there will be people out there who don't want a pop singer to push his or her politics on them. Do you think Miley Cyrus should sing about gay relationships, or do you prefer she leave homosexual issues out of her music?

There are also many other young stars out there that are still in their teens and don't have any sort of need to act out such as selena gomez, demi lovato, dakota fanning, miranda cogsgrove, and others.
Anywho, I may not care much for miley, but I can still admit she is talented. The girl can sing. One day she'll grow to match her talent :)
Especially if she continues to reach out to different sorts of audiences, one being her gay fans.
