So Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are engaged. Again. I'm sure you've heard by now.
The 19-year-old single mom and her 20-year-old baby daddy surprised everyone when they announced last week that they're going to get married after having been broken up for quite some time.
Apparently the couple kept their re-engagement a secret even from Bristol's mom, Sarah Palin, reports AssociatedContent.com.
"It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be," Bristol said. "Hopefully she will jump on board."
Levi Johnston's mother Sherry reportedly became "very upset" and was crying when she heard the news, according to Us Magazine.
The pair famously broke up two years ago despite the fact that their high-profile engagement and pregnancy was the talk of the 2008 presidential campaign in which John McCain and Sarah Palin lost to the Obama Administration.
"It felt right (to get back together)," said Bristol, "even though we don't have the approval of our parents." The young couple got engaged a few weeks ago and are just now beginning to tell people.
So how did this love affair reignite? They were working out custody details with regard to their 18-month-old son, Tripp, reports AssociatedContent.com. Levi recently told Us Magazine, "I really thought we were over." But then Bristol says she realized that Levi had made some changes for the better.
One night, Associated Content reports, they took a walk with Tripp. Bristol said, "When (Levi) left that night, we didn't hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: 'I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again.'...I was in shock."
If you're at all surprised that the pair have been so vocal about the intimate details of their rekindled romance, don't be. Because it doesn't end there. Bristol and Levi have been negotiating - what else - their own reality show, reports TMZ.com.
The show will focus on the young parents learning to raise their toddler son and the stress and joy of planning their upcoming wedding.
Look, I'm definitely gonna watch it, if it only for the possibility of an appearance by the world's dumbest former Governor, Sarah Palin. Will you watch?
Congrats to Bristol and Levi! I doubt their marriage will last a lifetime, but you never know!
