Fans of Saturday Night Live aren't diggin' this news. Actor Will Forte will not sign on for next season of Saturday Night Live!
Forte has been on the show for eight seasons, and is a veteran in the eyes of the viewers.
"In an email message, a representative for Mr. Forte said he offered his thanks to his colleagues and the 'Saturday Night Live' producer Lorne Michaels, writing, 'After eight great seasons, Will has made the decision to move on from ‘S.N.L.’ to pursue new opportunities. He is eternally grateful to Lorne and all of the incredible people he worked with over the years'" (The New York Times).
Forte has flexed his funny bone on the show and will undoubtedly do great things wherever he decides to take his career.
In the video below, Forte talks about his MacGruber Movie, and the character that he played (oh so well) on SNL. There are also scenes from the act in which Forte plays a 2010 version of MacGyver.
Forte and MacGruber will be missed on SNL.
