Singer Katy Perry was shunned from "Seasame Street", but she didn't let that bother her. In fact, she's going to guest star on another show with fictional characters and this time she's sure to be welcomed.
Perry will guest star on an upcoming Christmas themed episode of "The Simpsons". The perky pop-tart will play a love interest to Moe Szyslak, better known as Moe the bartender, to Simpson's fans. The episode will feature the characters as muppets and Perry as herself.
"In the wake of Elmo's terrible betrayal, the Simpson's puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry," series executive producer Al Jean told EW.com.
Last week, Perry was booted from an episode of "Seasame Street" before it aired because parents complained that she was not dressed conservatively enough for a children's program. That didn't seem to bother Perry, who made fun of the whole situation when she starred on the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live."
Of course Perry will fit right in with The Simpson's family. She's wild and crazy...just like the Simpson's clan!
