Miley Cyrus "Who Owns My Heart" Video upsets Parents - She Can't be Tamed!

Billy Ray's daughter keeps moving in a more mature direction as she approaches her 18th birthday.  The latest, the Miley Cyrus "Who Owns My Heart" video shows Miley taking the route of Britney Spears with her latest performance.  It features Miley once again in skimpy outfits, blindfolds, on a bed, on a table, in a club and showing everyone she's ready to be legal in a month.  Is she ready to take on the role of the latest sexy pop star though in the wake of Britney and Christina, et al?

The new Miley music video shows off the Hannah Montana star as she crawls on a bed, puts on makeup in the bathroom and shows off her legs in the backseat of a limo.  It's got an upbeat club-dance feel to it, so the song could definitely catch on with the radios and clubs.  The song is part of her latest album release "Can't Be Tamed."

Miley Cyrus sings "Who Owns My Heart?  Is it love or is it art?"  You'd have to ask the same of her in this new music video.  Is she the owner of her "art" or is someone advising her to go the more sexy route?  Miley will turn 18-years-old in November 2010, so by then all of this might seem pale in comparison.   Already, one group is complaining about the nature of the video according to Entertainment Weekly, saying it goes drastically against all Miley has done in her career up to this point.  They must have missed the lap dance incident, the pole dancing incident, her recent concert performances and "Can't Be Tamed" music video.

I didn't see anything wrong with the video. Plus she's 17 and parent's need to stop looking at her to be a role model for 10 year old's. That's unrealistic of them.

Miley is going the same direction every child star goes eventually. Its called Growing Up. The video is no worse than any other video out there right now, and I think I actually LIKE this song and I usually loathe her music.

Parents have to realize.....kids grow up. Miley is just a kid....turning into an adult. If she wants to do more adult things with her music/videos, more power to her. Its just time to find a younger celebrity role modle for younger children, and let the children who grew up with Miley continue to grow up with her.

Sometimes I think she is going too far to de-Hannahify herself, but I actually like this song -- reminds me a little of Natasha Bennningfield, especially at the bridge. It's about 10 times better than "Can't Be Tamed,"

I have a feeling there is nothing 'new' about her anymore, at all. Didn't I hear that she was dating a grown man recently? It appears she has already been well-indoctrinated into the world of sex, drugs and rock n roll.

She's not yet 18 and she is already damaged goods because she has been taught that she should strive to be sexy at this point in her life. What happened to our struggle as women to be recognized as people regardless of our sex?

Nothing to do but settle back and watch her self-destruct right in front of our eyes, I guess. Such a shame.

I like muleta music and it is true most ever pop star goes this direction after be in the music industry. Look at Britney spears. She started out sweet and innocent and cam out to be a diva. Who would of thought that would happen. I thought nothing was wrong with this video. She's growing up and getting to be more grown up. Plus it the new generation we live in now and it's alot different from back in the day. Alot has definitely changed , music, clothes including children growing up. This is definitely something I'm not surprised of . Her being so grown up acting. This is something the people and media will just have to accept and come to terms with.

Thanks for posting Matt. I feel she has gone a bit far with a lot of her actions, but I do agree with the other comments as well. She is growing up, and everyone eventually has to stop seeing her as Hannah Montana.

She is just a young girl crying out to be sexy like most girls her age do. She is just under more scrutiny.
