Actress Mila Kunis will reportedly join the cast of the new Seth MacFarlane film, "Ted." The new movie is a comedy written and directed by the "Family Guy" creator, and also stars Mark Wahlberg. Both of these actors could be award-winning actors by the time the film is making its rounds.
According to CBS News, the new MacFarlane film also stars Adam Scott from the TV series "Community." The movie is about a young boy who makes an interesting Christmas wish, for his teddy bear to come to life and be his best friend. However, years later the bear has become a "cursing, smoking, delinquent" who is preventing the boy (now a man) from fully maturing. That boy who grows up after making the wish will be played by Mark Wahlberg, while Mila Kunis will play the role of his adult girlfriend. Seth MacFarlane will voice the bear character in the comedy.
As of the latest reports, Wahlberg is not yet officially confirmed for the role, and is still in the negotiation stages. However, Mila Kunis and Adam Scott are official. Both Kunis and Wahlberg are among the recent 2011 Golden Globe nominees for 2011. Wahlberg is nominated for the boxing-inspired film "The Fighter," while Kunis is up for a supporting actress award for "Black Swan." This should make the new movie "Ted" have plenty of star power and could possibly attract more viewers to see the film. "Ted" has a tentative release date sometime in 2012.
