"The Real Housewives of..." franchise has been making it's way across the United States since its debut in Orange County back in 2006. Now, the show is heading back to its home state currently casting for the upcoming "The Real Housewives of San Francisco."
While the franchise has found amazing success, particularly with the installments in New Jersey and Beverly Hills--(thanks in part to the participation of Camille Grammer, Kelsey Grammer's now ex-wife)--San Francisco seems an unlikely city to film the show in.
While Atlanta, New York, and some of the other cities where the franchise has filmed have fit the profile--with a large number of socialites having significant disposable incomes and far too little responsibilities--San Francisco is a city that is associated with being more laid back and down-to-earth.
While there is certainly a population of wealthy, aristocratic housewives, it's hard to imagine that there is a plethora of the type of woman who is typecast for "The Real Housewives of..." franchise.
You can find the casting call for "The Real Housewives of..." here or in a slightly laughable turn of events, on San Francisco Craigslist. Strange place to recruit housewives living an "affluent lifestyle", don't you agree?
What do you think about the choice of San Francisco for the next "Real Housewives" series?
