'Finder' introduces spinoff characters
"The remains of a maritime museum security guard are found in the Florida Everglades after an attempt to steal an obsolete 17th century nautical chart fragment used to find treasures. In order to solve the crime, Booth seeks out Walter Sherman, a former Iraqi soldier with an uncanny gift to unearth anyone and anything. With Sherman's help, as well as that of his colleague, like Latulippe, and his legal advisor, Leo Knox, the team is led to tattoo artist who points them in the direction of a tough young woman. But when the woman is found murdered with remnants of the map lodged in her remains, the team discovers centuries of history linked to the map and the suspect behind the crimes. Meanwhile, Brennan puts Sherman's remarkable skill to the test, and Booth harbors cold feelings toward his former military comrade."
This episode features guest stars Geoff Stults, Michael Clark Duncan, and Saffron Burrows as the potential cast if the Bones spinoff does get picked up.
Bones 6.19 promo
The promo (below) shows Booth and Brennan taking a trip to the Everglades to investigate two murders, and they're looking for a map. When they turn to Walter Sherman for help, he says, "I am the Finder. You are the catchers," confusing Brennan. He asks if Booth and Brennan are sleeping together, and when he received a negative response, he propositions Brennan. Booth tells him, "you find the map, maybe you got a shot," before Brennan hits him. However, spoilers (and logic) suggest that if this were to happen, Booth wouldn't be too happy. Once back at the Jeffersonian with a victim Walter found in the ocean, Cam says the COD is drowning and doesn't like Booth's sarcastic response.
'Finder' sneak peeks
Three sneak peeks have been released. The first (below) shows Booth and Brennan at the crime scene, and Brennan being Brennan, calls Booth's description of the place as past the middle of nowhere "not a legitimate geographic reference." The victim is a male in his late 20s with a glass eye. Animals have scavenged the body and there are signs of cannibalism. However, a Sheriff says that it's just hawks. They're going to use the serial number of the glass eye to identify the body.

The second sneak peek (below) shows Booth telling Brennan about Walter Sherman and bringing him on the case. She tells him they're looking for a chart, not a map, with an explanation of the difference between the two. However, he still calls it a treasure map and says that Walter has "the Finder power."
The third (here) shows Booth and Brennan first approaching Walter for his help. They also meet Latulippe and Leo. Walter wants to know who sent them, and Booth says they need him to find something. Latulippe isn't surprised: "That's what he does." Walter asks to see their credentials, and while Booth doesn't let him have his, Brennan does. Walter examines it closely, and she takes offense when he starts biting it. Booth winds up tackling Walter to get the ID back, and although Walter calls for help, Leo walks away. Latulippe offers Brennan a beer while they wait "for the boys to get reacquainted." From what has been shown of Geoff Stults, he seems to have been a good choice for the role.
