Slowly but surely, The Hunger Games movie cast is filling out. We already know that Jennifer Lawrence will play Katniss Everdeen. We also know that Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are on board as Peeta and Gale, respectively. Now, the roles of two more of the 24 tributes are being announced. Finally!
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Hunger Games' District 11 tributes Thresh and Rue will be played by two "newcomers," Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg. If you don't know their names now, you will. This film, based on the wildly popular novel by Suzanne Collins, is being billed as the next big thing in Hollywood—and fans are eagerly watching to see who'll join the movie cast.
For those who absolutely need the most up-to-date info on casting of the additional tributes, The Hunger Games' official Facebook fan page has a really cool feature that shows all of the districts and the characters. You can watch as (hopefully) more young actors are awarded the coveted roles in coming weeks!
Okay fans, what say you? Are you happy with the decision to cast two unknown actors as Thresh and Rue? And does Amandla Stenberg bear a striking resemblance to Willow Smith?
