There is a new kid in the studio at GMA. Josh Elliott has joined Good Morning, America as the current news reader, replacing JuJu Chang who accepted a position with ABC as a full-time correspondent and fill-in anchor at Nightline. Many changes have taken place over the past couple of years on Good Morning, America. JuJu was brought in when the change-over with George Stephanopoulos happened at the same time and had been with the show for 15 months. She had big shoes to fill when she took over for Chris Cuomo, who was well-loved on the show. JuJu did a great job on her short time on GMA, however, Josh Elliott has proven to be a good fit so far on the show. He even had a little help from Jamie Foxx, who prepped him on the most effective way of saying Good Morning, America.
Who is Josh Elliott, you may ask? If you are any kind of a sports fan, then you may have seen him on ESPN's SportsCenter every weekday morning, co-anchoring with Hannah Storm. He has been the host since 2008, and has also written pieces for ESPN.com and ESPN magazine. After only three days on the air at the Good Morning, America set, we have so far learned that he was adopted as a baby, he has a great sense of humor, and he adores his beautiful daughter, Sarina, whom he gets very emotional about as shown on Wednesday's GMA. Josh Elliott is definitely being broken in by the GMA staff.
Before he appeared on GMA, Josh Elliott did an online interview with bigleadsports.com almost two years ago that briefly mentioned how he would like to have a guest appearance on Good Morning, America, either interviewing a world leader or cooking something on the show. It looks like that dream is coming true for this sports guy. Stay tuned to see how well he does in the GMA kitchen. You can bet that he is well on his way to becoming a bright spot on the GMA crew.
