Larisa Oleynik is back on Hawaii Five-0 for the last two season 1 episodes, beginning tonight, as CIA analyst Jenna Kaye. The season has been building up to a big confrontation between Steve McGarrett and Wo Fat, and it sounds like it's coming in the season finale.
Danno and Jenna?
Some fans thought that a romance could be brewing between Danny and Jenna, but Oleynik quickly shot that possibility down when she said, "I think Danno is a flirt but I think ultimately he only has eyes for his ex-wife Rachel." She also added that the others are treating Jenna like the rookie she is, such as "a joke they make in the episode about Jenna having her bulletproof vest on backwards to throw her off her game." Jenna will be joining the Five-0s for tonight's "Ua Hiki Mai Kapalena Pau" and next week's season finale, "Oia'i'o." Since Oleynik was cast in the Hawaii Five-0 recurring role, there have been talks that she could be returning next season as a full-time series regular. Do you want to see her sticking around?
McGarrett & Wo Fat
Jenna Kaye rejoins the others as the storyline with Wo Fat continues. There will also be an explosion coming up for Jenna and the others, and Oleynik says it shows that she's not exactly the in-the-field type of girl at the moment. (If she does return next season, it wouldn't be surprising to see that change.) However, she is definitely the type to get them "these mass quantities of information and [sort] it all out." This is all part of McGarrett going up against Wo Fat in the Hawaii Five-0 season 1 finale. According to Oleynik, "We also learn more about the envelopes, those bits of information from the toolbox, and who is sending them and the intention behind it. Oh, and HPD responds kindly to one of Chin Ho's recent acts. They may or may not try to woo him as it were." Could that mean Chin Ho could be leaving the Five-0s to rejoin HPD? Could that be what opens up a spot to keep the team to four and bring Jenna back as a regular next year?
All season, the Five-0s have relied on the fact that they can do pretty much whatever they want with the governor's backing. However, that won't be the case in the finale. How do you think the first season of Hawaii Five-0 will end?
