On the "Real Housewives of Orange County" Reunion an upset Don Gunvalson expresses his angst about his broken marriage with Vicki Gunvalson.
On a new sneak peek into the "Real Housewives of Orange County" Andy Cohen and the housewives watch as a previously recorded tape rolls. Don, though not in attendance at the reunion agreed to speak about his relationship with Vicki. It's clear, he's hurt and when he explains the situation and how Vicki did things "her way...and on her own time" it's no surprise. Vicki has always been very eager to keep things the way she likes them. Unfortunately a marriage can suffer when this happens, because there is no compromise. Don also believes that Tamra Barney, Vicki's O.C. co-star and friend, was influential in the process. But Vicki denies that. She insists that she made the decision for herself on her own. Don and Bravo end his interview with Don stating that all he wants is to b treated with dignity and respect, and in his eyes "this didn't go down with dignity or respect."
The video is a somber moment at the reunion as all the housewives can see the pain that Don and Vicki are in. Vicki admits that Don deserved more dignity and respect that she gave and is very apologetic for the way things happened.
Marriage is one of the hardest challenges, that a husband and wife will face. When mixing in life's demands, children and a reality television show, sometimes the circle gets too big and without working things out or even discussing the issues at hand a marriage could fail. Unfortunately for Vicki Gunvalson and Don, the marriage didn't work out, but hopefully the two are better off and happier apart from each other.
Divorce is never easy. It doesn't matter which way you slice it, someone always gets hurt.
The "Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion airs Sunday at 9pm on BRAVO.
