The new album by Big Sean, Finally Famous, has leaked online two weeks before the official release date. But the real news is, it looks like a record company ploy to drum up anticipation and drive sales.
The début album by the rapper known best for collaborations with Chris Brown, packed the biggest names in rap music on his first studio album, including Kanye West. Very impressive for a guy who so far has been known mostly through viral leaks of his tracks on Twitter and YouTube.
The album was originally scheduled to drop on June 21, but sample clearances and other legal matters pushed back the date a week. So far. The way the press release is worded it may not even make that date.
In an unusual move, the 'title track' is not called Finally Famous. Rather it's labeled Live This Life featuring The Dream, and is definitely NSFW, so it's not linked to here. But, no worries. Those who choose to brave the boss' wrath can easily find it, or it can be listened to later in private. Either way, it's some eye-opening insights into exactly what 'the good life' is like these days.
Look for the full album on June 28th. Maybe...
