With production set to begin soon on shows, their premiere dates for their fall season are starting to be announced. Supernatural is set to begin filming early next month, and now the premiere date for the seventh season has been released.
Season 7 will premiere...
The CW has released their fall premiere schedule, and the seventh season of the Winchester brothers (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles) will be kicking off Friday, September 23rd, at 9PM after the Nikita season premiere. With the season 6 DVD set to hit stores September 13, that gives fans 10 days to catch up if they need to before the new season airs.
Supernatural season 6 ended with Sam's wall destroyed (courtesy of Misha Collins' Castiel), Balthazar (Sebastian Roche) and Raphael (Lanette Ware) dead (also because of Castiel), and Castiel proclaiming himself their "new God" and asking Sam, Dean, and Bobby (Jim Beaver) to bow down before him with the ultimatum that if they didn't, he would destroy them. No one quite knows yet what will happen when the season picks up, when it will pick up (season 6 did pick up one year after season 5 ended), or what will happen with Castiel next season since Misha Collins is no longer a regular. Could this mean the end of Castiel on Supernatural? Not necessarily since Jim Beaver has never been a series regular and he's still alive and kicking. There is also the question of what will happen to Sam now that he has all his memories back - of what he did soulless and what he went through in hell. With the season's theme set to be Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, it sounds like fans have a movie they could add to their watch list in the meantime as well.
