Next season of Law & Order: SVU will have a very different look, as Christopher Meloni will not be returning. However, if you're a fan of his, he could be coming to a theater near you in a movie many are looking forward to.
Meloni in the next Superman movie?
According to Deadline, Meloni "is in negotiations for a major role in Man of Steel" from director Zack Snyder. There's no additional information on just what character he could be playing, but this sounds like good news for the actor who recently decided to not return to the NBC drama he had been part of for 12 years. Man of Steel already has an impressive cast, with Russell Crowe (Jor-El), Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) all signed on for the reboot of the Superman movies.
Would Christopher Meloni make a good addition to this cast? Though he has mostly been in television series, he does have some films to his name, including Twelve Monkeys, Runaway Bride, and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. It wouldn't be unbelievable to see Meloni with the rest of the cast in Man of Steel.
