Bethenny Frankel isn't a part of The Real Housewives of New York any longer, but LuAnn de Lesseps can't resist taking shots at her. According to LuAnn, viewers get to see the "real" Kelly now that Bethenny is out of the picture.
In an interview with The Famous, Countess LuAnn takes time to dish on how things are going on The Real Housewives of New York without the quick-witted (and sharp-tongued) Bethenny Frankel. LuAnn says she's so glad Bethenny is no longer on the show and that filming is much easier without Bethenny around. LuAnn de Lesseps also feels as if fans are seeing the real Kelly this season and it's because Bethenny is no longer a part of the cast. According to LuAnn, "Kelly's been amazing this season, and I think you see the true Kelly. She got a really bad rap last season because, you know, it's hard to battle against Bethenny."
While Kelly took a lot of flak for her behavior on the past two seasons of The Real Housewives of New York, it was hardly because of Bethenny. While Kelly acts a bit better this season, she has still moments of where she's barely keeping herself together. Just one example of many is when she goes bananas in Morocco when Alex McCord tries to confront LuAnn de Lesseps about how she is treating Ramona. When incessantly interrupting Alex doesn't work, Kelly storms off, carries on a conversation with only herself about how stupid Alex is and how Alex has ruined her henna tattoo.
Although The Real Housewives of New York is still enticing to viewers, especially since the majority of the current cast has intentionally ramped up the drama, the show is not anywhere near the same without Bethenny.
