Top Chef Texas has yet to be confirmed by the show's producers, but that doesn't mean that it's not happening. In fact, it seems that further proof of the show is being doled out this Friday, when the cast and crew take to Austin's famed hotel, The Driskill, for filming.
With rumors of contestants and competitions taking place to date at Dallas' W Hotel and San Antonio hotspots Il Sogno, Luke and The Esquire, it is high time that the Bravo reality giant took to the Texas capital city, Austin, for their hijinks, is it not?
According to Shawn Cirkiel, a restaurateur in Austin, "Though we like to think of ourselves as a small town, we're both a national and international city. And with our growth, the expectations just keep getting bigger."
Aside from the rumors of the Top Chef crew filming in Austin, there is also rumored to be an Austinite competing in the upcoming season. The chef, Paul Qui, is the Executive Chef at recent addition Uchiko.
Though The Driskill filming speculation has not been confirmed by Bravo or any official source, Top Chef buffs would be smart to keep an eye out downtown Friday!
