Fans of Lady Gaga and Cher only have to wait a few more weeks to hear their much-anticipated duet, "The Greatest Thing." If you think that Lady Gaga's outfits in her past music videos have been over-the-top, just imagine what outfits she'll wear for the song's music video featuring the original outlandish dresser, Cher.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Cher tweeted "SEPTEMBER" in response to a fan's question regarding the song's release date. "The Greatest Thing" will be Cher's first single from her upcoming album. The demo of the song, which features only Lady Gaga and has already been released on YouTube, is a slower-tempo love song. Cher's vocals on it, with her distinctive deep and powerful voice, will no doubt make the song much stronger. The final version of the song will also most likely be revamped to have a more upbeat and faster tune. Cher has previously said that her album "really won't be 'Believe'-ish" and that she "can't put a genre to it." However, from her June tweet that the album will be ""WAY DANCE," it's safe to say that fans of Cher's disco music won't be disappointed.
Cher's return to the spotlight began last year with the movie "Burlesque." Unfortunately, "Burlesque," which co-starred Christina Aguilera, was a dud at the box office. Hopefully, her single with Lady Gaga will provide more success and show that at 65-years-old, she can still rock it with the young folks.
