MTV Video Music Awards 2011: VMA Red Carpet Live Pre-Show Online Coverage

Welcome to the MTV Video Music Awards 2011 Red Carpet coverage. This live online blog will bring the latest updates as stars arrive at the VMA Red Carpet scene, hosted by singer Selena Gomez!

An hour before the MTV Video Music Awards winners are announced, Miss Selena Gomez will be on the scene to present the MTV Pre-show for 2011. This will take place outside of the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The area outside is known as the red carpet or "black carpet" as MTV refers to it. This is where all the big names in music, TV, movies and other realms will be arriving to.

A live stream video feed has been showing all of the preparations being made for the special MTV Video Music Awards 2011 pre-show and red carpet. The set appears ready now for the various musicians and other celebrities to show their latest fashions as they arrive for the big night. The VMA black carpet offers one cool and stylish-looking scene for the stars to preen. It's a futuristic set complete with an intergalactic portal which workers created around the clock since this past week. Celebrities will step through this interesting combination of four white shapes complete with 1700 incandescent lightbulbs to top it off!
