Katie Couric's interview with actress Sarah Jessica Parker will be her first for ABC News. The sit-down with SJP will air on Tuesday night on Nightline. What will these two successful women discuss? Motherhood, among other things.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reveals that Sarah Jessica Parker's interview with Katie Couric will also include a chat about Parker's new movie, I Don't Know How She Does It. And some might not know how SJP does it all, having a successful acting career and a great home life with husband Matthew Broderick and their three children.
Sarah Jessica Parker also reveals her absolute distaste for the mainstream tabloid atmosphere. She tells Katie Couric that the ever-present paparazzi isn't the part that bugs her the most. She says, "it's the lack of civility" that she finds "intimidating" and "painful." SJP goes on, saying that, "The tabloid era that we find ourselves in is a cultural boneyard."
Three cheers for Parker on that last comment! Tabloids can be so nasty and if anyone has a right to speak out about it, it's Sarah Jessica Parker. Yes, it's a pain for celebs to be constantly photographed, but what's more upsetting is the overall tone that's taken in so many tabloid reports. Tearing people down seems to be the order of the day, sadly.
