True Blood aired its season 4 finale Sunday night with "And When I Die," and several characters did not survive the episode. What does this mean for some of their futures on the show? Who will definitely be back? Will she be different?
Where does Tara go next?
The season finale ended with Tara presumably dead after she jumped in front of Debbie shooting Sookie in the final moments. It looked like she was dead and going to be part of the list of characters presumably not returning next season, but Rutina Wesley has revealed to TVLine that's not true: "I know I'm coming back. I just don't know in what capacity." The question does remain just how she's coming back—will she still be human? Wesley has said, "I like being human," but on True Blood, anything's possible. Could Sookie call on one of the vampires in her life (though she is now standing alone) to try to save her best friend? Would that work after what happened? Wesley even said, "I don't know," and that seems to be the recurring theme for what's coming up next for her character.
True Blood season 4 saw some changes in Tara, as she became a fighter and learned how to fight back, despite some of the bad situations she found herself in. What will what happened in the final moments of the season finale mean for Tara in season 5, however she comes back?
Are you looking forward to seeing more from Tara in True Blood season 5? How do you want to see her come back?
True Blood has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy. The Emmys air September 18th on FOX.
