One Tree Hill will be kicking off its final season soon on the CW, and there are now some spoilers out about the first episode. What can fans expect from their favorite Tree Hill characters in January leading up to the series finale?

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that there will be a breakup in the season premiere on January 11 at 8PM on the CW. Uh-oh, which couple will be saying goodbye in this episode? Will they get back together by the end of the season? There are 13 episodes in the season and a time jump in the series finale (which will include a basketball game), so anything's possible. Just because the couple's breaking up doesn't mean they won't be back together by the time the last scene airs.

The One Tree Hill season premiere is also going to be what "sets up the rest of the season." Could that involve Nathan's storyline? In the preview that has been released (below), he is shown tied up. It doesn't look like things are going to be going too well for the Scotts in the new season, and with James Lafferty only part-time this season, you have to worry about what's going to happen to him. He is going to be in the series finale, but it sounds like it's going to be a tough season for Nathan and Haley and their family.
