Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga were just a few of the singers spoofed on the recent Jimmy Fallon episode of "Saturday Night Live." The brand new episode aired this past weekend and featured a "Michael Buble duets" segment.
With former "SNL" alum Jimmy Fallon as the show's host, Michael Buble was on hand as the musical guest. Buble also lent his vocals and comedic acting to an SNL skit about "Christmas duets" with various musicians. Included in them were Sting, ke$ha, MIA, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber.
Fallon played the part of Justin Bieber (complete with the Biebs' famous haircut) but he didn't really sing. Instead he did a variety of dance moves on stage including a "beating heart" move and some extra winks. Buble shot him a look as Bieber (Fallon) got a bit too close to him with the dance moves. For Lady Gaga, they featured just a Christmas tree with a microphone in front of it, but others such as Sting's "Fa-La-La" were dead on.
Later in the segment, Fallon did his Russel Brand comedy routine as part of a Buble song, questioning "angels." Buble was a good sport, while Fallon showed off his great impersonations. Overall, it was a funny routine, and most likely Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have seen this by now. They probably got a kick out of it, and with Buble and Bieber having Christmas albums on sale, this can't hurt them much at all. Bieber's been on the show before, so he most likely appreciates the humor and Christmas spirit!
