Sandra Bullock and Rooney Mara impressed the Fashion Police for quite different looks. This weekend, the E! Entertainment sartorial judging program liked each actress for her own personal choice while being the belle of the ball at two separate events.
Sandra Bullock rocked a sexy Alexander McQueen suit for the premiere of her movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. The popular actress, who plays a 9/11 widow in this serious film about a serious event in history, was appropriately attired yet still looking edgy while wearing this British label that always makes a dramatic style statement.
Both Joan Rivers and Guilana Rancic thought Sandra Bullock was best dressed for the week, while Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos picked Rooney Mara for that honor. This actress borrowed a bit from her Girl with the Dragon Tattoo character, punk hacker Lisbeth Salander, by donning fashion that is at somewhat goth while staying contemporary and on point as well.
The Prabal Gurung dress Rooney wore for the New York premiere of her film was colorfully described by Fashion Police arbiter and resident quipster Joan Rivers. She called the back of the frock "Frank Lloyd right" while she deemed the front "Frank Lloyd wrong."
Apparently, Rivers was not fond of the architectural cut-outs around the bodice and in other surprises places but she was fond of the lack of fabric as the actress modeled when she turned while being photographed on the red carpet in the Big Apple.
And so, with Sandra Bullock and Rooney Mara being called out this week on Fashion Police for looking good, both actresses are winners on E! Entertainment television. At least sartorially speaking.
