It will have been 17 months between Mad Men's fourth season finale and the fifth season premiere when it airs, and now reportedly, Jon Hamm has revealed when that first episode of season 5 will air.
Season 5 premiere date scheduled?
Apparently it has finally been revealed just when the AMC drama, which has been on a long hiatus, will return. Reportedly, according to NY Mag, Jon Hamm has said that the series will be returning to AMC on March 25. That does make sense, since there are six more episodes of The Walking Dead slated to begin airing on February 12, which would take them through March 18. Just as The Walking Dead ends, it makes sense for AMC to bring back Mad Men and kick off new episodes about Don Draper and the others.
Jon Hamm will be directing the season 5 premiere, and unfortunately, there's pretty much no information out about what to expect from the new season. Still, with how long it's been, any news is good news right now, and now fans can mark their calendars (and plan to break out those DVDs to rewatch the first four seasons before the premiere) for March 25. There is still a little over two and a half months until the season 5 premiere, but at least it's almost time. Hopefully this long wait will turn out to be worth it.
Will you be tuning in to the Mad Men season 5 premiere on March 25?
