After being accused of pushing a liberal agenda, the Muppets are fighting back against the Fox Business Network with a little humor and a dose of truth.
In December, Follow The Money host Eric Bolling quipped that The Muppets movie might just be part of the Hollywood agenda to brainwash children into becoming liberals. Despite the attack being downright ludicrous and really in no need of response, Missy Piggy and Kermit decided to defend their honor. In a press conference in the UK to promote the film overseas, the two felt stars of the film took a strike back at Fox.
Footage of the press conference has taken the Internet by storm. One interviewer questions Kermit about his opinion on the Fox accusations, and he charmingly responds that if they had a problem with the oil industry, they wouldn't "have spent the entire film driving around in a gas-guzzling Rolls Royce." In true comedic fashion, Miss Piggy follows up with the zinger, "It's almost as laughable as accusing Fox News of being news." Cue rim-shot. Hopefully Fox News has learned their lesson: Never mess with the Muppets.
