'The Vampire Diaries' season 3 episode 14 'Dangerous Liaisons' clip: Stefan, Elena, and Damon

The Vampire Diaries season 3 continues with episode 14, "Dangerous Liaisons," next week, and in addition to a promo, there's already a clip out showing the three characters of the main love triangle of the show.

Before you can have a party, you have to send out invitations. However, it's not exactly so easy to get someone to just accept an invitation when you're an Original, as seen in the sneak peek that has been released from the next episode—especially when you have vampires who have their own strong opinions on the subject.

In the Vampire Diaries season 3 episode 14 sneak peek from "Dangerous Liaisons" (below), Elena's seriously considering accepting the invitation to find out why Esther wants to talk to her. While Damon calls it "a dumb idea," Stefan does think that she's right and points out there has to be more going on because "Bonnie was allowed to open that coffin for a reason." Damon wants to go back to the old Stefan (the one who would be on his side), but he tells him that's his job now. That's awkward. Elena thinks she should find out what she wants, and Stefan says he'll go to protect her. Damon argues that he'll go since Stefan has "pissed off enough Originals to last a lifetime" (true), and that's the "end of story." Elena's not taking too kindly to this, but it doesn't look like Damon's giving her much of a choice.

Well, as already teased, they both join her, making for some more fun love triangle scenes. While both Salvatores have valid points, it's really up to Elena, but is there really any way that she's going to say anything but yes to the invite? Not really, as it's just too intriguing to be willing to give up the chance to find out why Esther has invited her. After spending all that time trying to figure out how to open that coffin, why would they give up the chance to talk to who was in it and try to find out more? They're off-balance as it is concerning the Originals, and while it's probably going to be dangerous, it's hard to even imagine giving up the chance to learn more about them.
