Kristen Stewart fights a "monster beast" in her new film Snow White and the Huntsman, and rumor has it--she wins. The photo is a new still released by Universal Studios, promoting the film that debuts this coming summer.
According to a report from Hollywood Hills, Stewart is laden with her sword in her role as Snow White, and certainly looks as though she's quite successful at using it.
In the film, Snow White learns to fight and becomes a princess warrior following her training. She sets out to go after the Hunstman, whose first intention was to kill her, but who invariably w
inds up on her side at some point in the story.
This certainly doesn't sound like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves--does it? This Snow White--as depicted by Kristen Stewart in the new promo shot is one bad-ass princess. It's actually a perfect role for the Twilight star, who has a bit of "rough-and tumble" in her very own persona.
Snow White and the Huntsman is scheduled for release on June 1st, and Twilight fans are no doubt excited to see Kristen Stewart in this completely different role. The film also stars Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth.
But fear not, Twilight fans--for Bella Swan--Kristen's Twilight character, will be back before 2012 ends. The second part of Breaking Dawn is due out in November.
Even though Kristen is now a vampire in the Twilight film series, it doesn't seem like she battles anything quite as precarious as "monster beast." You can check out the Universal Studios promo still by clicking here.
