The Voice blind auditions on night 3 had many talented contenders, but Jordis Unga was arguably the most impressive.
This is one fierce singer, a Minnesotan who lives in Los Angeles and was supported on Monday night by her mom, who is a Swede, and her dad, who is Tongan. With that gene pool mix, this talent rocks the best of both nationalities in her lovely look, which, of course, could not be seen during her audition since the chairs the four judges sat in while listening to her warble were turned away from the stage.
But slowly, one by one, those buttons were pushed as Jordis pushed through a commanding performance, and The Voice judges all were able to face forward to see Unga do her thing.
All, that is, except, Adam Levine, who regretted that he didn't bid for this amazing singer like the rest of his colleagues. Perhaps the Maroon 5 frontman was too enthralled to remember to hit the button because he not only liked her voice, but also her choice of song: Maybe I'm Amazed.
Despite that goof on Adam's part, there was a big bidding war between Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera to win over this very talented singer.
Blake told Jordis she is an inspiration and that she has a voice that makes him want to be a better singer, whereas Christina boasted that she has a lot of time to spend molding her talent to take the win on The Voice. Cee Lo is more low key about his reasons than usual, saying simply, "I picked you."
But on The Voice last night, this popular contestant who showed up for the blind auditions on night 3, didn't pick him. Instead, Jordis Unga chose Blake Shelton, the man who turned around first. And now these two will work together to grab that golden ring on this riveting TV talent show.
