Bill Murray has no interest in coming back to do Ghostbusters 3. He is blaming fans for his decision to not make the franchise's third film, which really would not be the same without him even though Dan Aykroyd hinted that he may try to do the film with a new actor recast for the part.
Reportedly, Bill Murray said, "No one wants to pay money to see fat, old men chasing ghosts." Do you? Well, apparently Aykroyd and co-star Rick Moranis are interested in doing Ghostbusters 3 sometime in the next few years even though the last movie was in 1989. Do you think it could be a success even without Murray?
There's something about "who you gonna call?" that keeps fans interested, but could the group minus Murray really pull it off more than two decades later? Have there been too many reboots recently? Perhaps an entirely new cast would be successful. Who knows? Many people would go to see the film just because of the name. Plus, who can forget the giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? In case you did, check out the scene in the video below.
