The original Teen Mom stars will return this spring after being on a short hiatus from MTV and the small screen. The original stars that began their television careers on 16 and Pregnant are now back to share their lives as their babies have become toddlers. Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, Amber Portwood, and Farrah Abraham will return to the small screen in April, when MTV's hit series 16 & Pregnant will be coming to an end.
Fans have been watching the developing lives of Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, and Chelsea Houska over the past few months on the second installment of the original hit-show, but it is clear that fans are curious to see how the original teenage mothers are doing. With gossip reports about Maci breaking up with her boyfriend of 2 years, Amber landing herself in jail and with Farrah dating an older man, it is no secret that this season of Teen Mom will be the best one yet. And Catelynn believes that it is a good season, so everyone should be excited.
Although MTV's docu-series have been under scrutiny for indirectly promoting teenage pregnancy and starting a family while still in school, the shows also seem to be educational at best. While 16 and Pregnant shows viewers what life is like during the pregnancy, birth and life with a newborn, the popular spin-off reveals life with a toddler and failing relationships. And with the pregnancy epidemic in the states, it doesn't look like these shows are going anywhere.
