As the oldest contestant on this year's American Idol, Elise Testone had plenty to choose from with her birth year. The sultry singer chose "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green, an interesting choice not often covered by women. However, a viral version of President Obama singing a few lines at a dinner including Al Green was included in Elise's package after will.i.am mentioned it. Very random, but fun. He and Jimmy Iovine also mentioned that she needed to lighten up a bit and Elise said she was ready.
After her performance, the judges were impressed. They were glad to be proven right in saving her over Jeremy last week. Elise redeemed herself this week on American Idol, but she is still not the best female voice and her quirky style may get her in trouble as theme weeks continue. Also, her mood seems to decide her performance, which could lead to fighting herself later. Here's hoping she makes top ten as she deserves another chance.
