This year, American Idol has been hit with high fashion thanks to Jennifer Lopez. And now she has been called out for being on point with her Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 dress that sported a galactic print.
While walking out on the AI stage last week during the results show, JLo rocked this frock that had all kinds of sizzle of the spacey kind. She marched out with Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, upstaging her colleagues in this snazzy gold number that was sprinkled with stars.
The knee-length dress was long-sleeved and had a black neckline so without the sequined fabric the look would have been quite plain. But not so. Not for sartorial savvy Jennifer Lopez.
In fact, the American Idol judge and all-around triple threat made much more of this Dolce & Gabbana offering than the way the dress was worn on the runway. Gone was the over-the-top black belt that was a bit too funky and gone were the black socks with red shoes, which were way too funky.
Instead, JLo chose to feature the architecture of the garment as it clung to her well-toned body. She had on t-square sandals featuring shapely shins that seemed to be sans hose, and she wore her hair down and a bit lighter than usual. In other words, she kept it simple.
