House will be saying goodbye after eight seasons this May, on May 21 at 9PM. There will be an hour retrospective show before that last episode, and now the series finale will be even more special with a character returning.

According to TVLine, Olivia Wilde is going to be showing up on May 21 to play Thirteen once again. Last time she was around, House fired her for her own good and sent her off, away from Princeton-Plainsboro. So what could be bringing her back this time? Will House call upon her, will one of the team reach out to her, or will she return on her own for some reason?
Lisa Edelstein won't be returning as Cuddy in the House series finale, disappointing many fans, but it's no surprise they've already announced that a character will be back for that last episode. Wilde ended up leaving House due to her success in films—she's had quite a few movies out over the past couple of years and has more lined up for the future—but each time she's left, they've left the storyline open for Thirteen to return, and it looks like that's going to come in handy for the series finale. Now, it's only a matter of how she'll be back and how they'll end her storyline this time.
