Criminal Minds will be touching on a storyline from last season in an upcoming season 7 episode when things get personal for Morgan yet again.
CM Season 7 Episode 20 "The Company" Official Description
"When Morgan's sister sees a woman who looks like their presumed-dead cousin, Cindi, it forces Morgan to confront a lie he told his family last year to provide closure and compels the BAU to reopen the case of her disappearance."
Denise Dowse will be returning as Morgan's Aunt Yvonne, the one he lied to and told they had found Cindi's murderer in season 6's "Big Sea," but now he's going to have some confessing to do. Uh-oh. He told the lie for all the right reasons because Yvonne would jump every time it sounded like a case could be connected to Cindi's disappearance. Morgan just wanted to give her the closure she so desperately needed, especially since it didn't look like there was any hope of a happy ending. But is it possible that there is one coming?
Well, according to the casting for this Criminal Minds season 7 episode, Shameless' Shanola Hampton is going to be playing Cindi, so it is looking like there's quite a lot more that was going on besides what they thought. It's always good when they touch upon things like this later on, and besides, it's bringing back Morgan's family which is always something to look forward to since they were introduced in the season 2 episode, "Profiler, Profiled."
What will the BAU uncover when they reopen the case? What was going on with that stalker when she originally disappeared? Could this episode end with a happy reunion for Morgan and his family—especially with Hampton playing Cindi in the episode—or is that just to trick fans into thinking it will? Either way, it sounds like this is going to be an intense, personal case for Morgan and could make for one of the strongest episodes of the season, if not the show.
