Fringe season 4 continues this week with episode 16, "Nothing As It Seems," which will bring a very familiar case back. How will they deal with it this time? What's going to be different?
Fringe Season 4 Episode 16 "Nothing As It Seems" Sneak Peeks
In addition to the "Nothing As It Seems" promo that has been released showing the case they'll be dealing with, there are also a couple of new clips and photos (right and below) previewing what's coming up.
In the first clip (below), Olivia's back in therapy, and the therapist brings up her forgetting the details in her life, mentioning it's not a problem for her. However, Olivia says it's "a problem [she] can handle." She wants to focus on David Robert Jones kidnapping her, and the therapist focuses on the fact that she remembers that. Olivia's point is that Jones is out there, but instead of going after him like she should be, she's facing evaluations like this. She sees it all to be pointless especially because "weird" doesn't mean the same to her since she works in Fringe division. You have to love Olivia in this scene, and Anna Torv continues to show how good she is in this role.
The second Fringe season 4 episode 16 sneak peek (below) shows Walter saying "Happy birthday!" and very excited. Peter tells him it's not his birthday, but he knows. He's just been saving them up every year as a way to "deal with the loss": "I know you're not him—my Peter—but you're as close as I'm going to get." One of the gifts is a beer for his 21st, but Walter doesn't advise drinking it. Peter hugs him, and while it's awkward, it's also a really nice scene. The last episode showed Peter learning that he is home, and it looks like things are slowly going to be getting back to how they used to be.
