Bones returns to Fox on April 2 with season 7 episode 7, "The Prisoner in the Pipe," which will be the episode where Brennan goes into labor, but things aren't going to change drastically just because the two leads have a baby together.
Season 7 Spoilers
According to TVLine, Hart Hanson has revealed that there's going to be a case where there's a child victim which leads to Brennan turning "to Booth and [saying] in a very shocked way, 'I find I have a great need to go see [our baby] Christine, and it makes no rational sense.'" It looks like fans can look forward to moments like this that show that having a baby has changed Brennan in some ways, and really, it's impossible not to look forward to seeing Booth and Brennan raising a baby together. Stephen Nathan did insist, "We're a murder show. That will not change." Things may be different for Booth and Brennan with a baby, but they're still out there solving murders and locking up bad guys.
Something else to look forward to in the upcoming Bones episodes is Brennan and Angela's friendship. In fact, there's going to be "an episode that finds the two playing hooky," which sounds like it should be a fun one and a chance to see what they're like away from work. However, what has to be the most intriguing is that the season finale is going to give fans a chance to "get a very good feeling for how close Angela and Brennan are," according to Hanson, who added, "in some ways, Angela knows Brennan better than Booth does." Angela is often the one whom Brennan turns to when she needs advice, and she has helped her realize some things in the past. But what's going to happen in the finale to make that happen?
Well, the season 7 finale is slated to bring Pelant back. Hanson said that he will "scare the crap out of people," and Nathan said he'll "turn the series on its head for a little bit... He has much more power than any of our serial bad guys have had in the past." He was already creepy enough in his first appearance in "The Crack in the Code." He somehow killed while wearing an ankle monitor—and in disturbing ways, found ways to hack without the use of computer, and was plotting for more at the end. There's also the fact that he loved taunting the team since there was no way to prove he was guilty. They know he is though, but it's going to be very hard to catch him. What will he do in the finale? Will someone end up dead from the team? Will they even be able to find a way to stop him before he does much more damage?
