Castle doesn't have Castle and Beckett in the best place right now, but could that change by the finale? Is there hope in their future this season, or will fans have to wait for next season to see something happen between the two?
Castle Season 4 Spoilers
Castle has an episode coming up that's hopping on board a trend made popular by The Walking Dead: zombies. Creator Andrew W. Marlowe explained to TVLine of "Undead Again," "Zombies are very much in the zeitgeist, and we thought it was something that was worth tackling." The way they'll do it will be "credible," and as Marlowe brought up how they've tackled aliens, there's really no reason to think they'll do anything but handle this the right way. Previous spoilers did reveal that there are characters part of "Zombie Walks," so it sounds like it's going to just be something that's done in the city. Is their victim going to be someone who participates in those walks?
Marlowe also called what's coming up in the rest of Castle season 4 "part of this Beckett/Castle run-up to a very emotional finale," and the zombie episode is part of it. So what does the finale have in store? Marlowe revealed, "We confront a lot of the issues that the characters have been skirting all season." The finale title is "Always," and though Castle didn't handle finding out Beckett lied about remembering his "I love you," you can't help but hope that "always" refers to them. Will the season end with things still tense between the two, or will they fix it before it ends? Could the final scene be a Castle and Beckett kiss and perhaps a confession of love?
