Grey's Anatomy season 8 continues next week with episode 20, "The Girl With No Name," which is going to see Richard finding something out about Adele, Cristina getting back on track, and the doctors treating a young girl with some horrific injuries.
Grey's Season 8 Episode 20 "The Girl With No Name" Clips
There are now three new preview videos out from the next episode, and each shows a different storyline from "The Girl With No Name." There's a look at the personal stuff Richard will be going through, the doctors' futures are addressed, and the introduction of their patient this week.
In the first clip (below), Richard's visiting Adele, and he brings her the last croissant, telling her just how he got it. However, any semblance of a good time is quickly ruined when she tells him she has a secret: she's in love, and she points to a man across the room. Uh-oh, poor Richard. How is this going to end for him in this episode? It was always a possibility that he would lose Adele because of her Alzheimer's, and there are also those spoilers for episode 21, "Moment of Truth," which state that there will be sparks between him and Catherine in a hotel. Is this going to be the beginning of the end of Richard and Adele?
The second Grey's Anatomy season 8 episode 20 sneak peek (below) shows Cristina seemingly getting back to the Cristina everyone knows. She's back to studying for her boards after she showed up at Meredith's door as the Grey Method was being put into effect, and even with that time away, hospitals still want her—and they're not shy about it. She's being wooed, and Alex certainly seems bitter. He insists that he's getting interviews when April suggests that he should consider begging so he gets one, but when asked for specifics, all he can say is "at...places." Oh, Alex, you're fooling no one.
Owen interrupts their conversation to tell them about an incoming trauma and asks for April and Alex. However, April has an interview at Northwestern to get to, and Jackson's busy, so that leaves an awkward moment before Meredith volunteers. Is this going to be how it is at work for Owen and Cristina from now on? That can certainly become tricky since he is the Chief, but perhaps they just need time. There is still the possibility of them getting back together before the season's over or even next year—depending on who's still around for season 9.
In the third "The Girl With No Name" sneak peek (below), the doctors are looking over their patient's X-rays, and Arizona notes that this isn't a peds case while Callie notices "fractures that never healed right." However, it's Teddy who tells them the startling news: They're looking at signs of torture. She recognizes them from her time in Iraq, and that means that they're going to have to call the police. Owen says they can't do anything until they talk to their patient, and that's exactly what Meredith does. She asks her her name, and their patient says, "He called me Susan, but I think it's Holly." This is definitely a case where the police need to be alerted.
