Justin Bieber hits 'The Voice'

Tuesday, Justin Bieber made a surprise appearance on The Voice. Although the world premiere of a clip of his new video was already announced, the Biebs himself was not necessarily going to be there to do the honors.

But he was, entering to screams from the NBC audience that were ear-piercing. Justin appeared dressed down in a jacket and jeans in an outfit that was perfect for this particular event. He stood with Carson Daly to talk about his just-finished Boyfriend video. He also announced that his new album, Believe, will be available come June 19 in stores everywhere.

At that point, Justin Bieber told The Voice audience, both in the house and at home, "I'm really happy to be here.. I think you guys are going to really love the video." Then he explained that what they were about to see was just a tiny clip of the sneak peek, but that clip was potent.

JB flashes on the screen in extreme close-up and then in a stance in shadow that looks a bit like Michael Jackson (a tribute pose perhaps?). The close-ups continued, as did different stances in front of a white globe that was glowing. A girl was involved (of course), as were drops of water. Talk about slick.

Ironically, while Justin Bieber went on The Voice, his girlfriend Selena Gomez was on another network to sing with her band, The Scene. That network was ABC, and the show was Dancing with the Stars (see review here).

Back on NBC, JB was well-received (that's an understatement) as he formally introduced the world premiere of his new video clip. Then, when Carson Daly asked if he would come back, Justin Bieber said he would return to The Voice for the show's season finale to sing his hit song, Boyfriend. What a treat!
