They're back! The Real Housewives of New Jersey invaded TV screens Sunday night with a brand new season of cookbook and family drama. The season opener seemed like a serious case of déjà vu as the wives continued to deal with many of the same issues that filled last season.
Fans who tuned into last year's reunion clip were surprised to see Teresa Giudice on the outs with her former friend Caroline Manzo. Viewers finally got a chance to see the beginning of the end on season four's first episode. Instead of concentrating on recipes for her cookbook, Teresa took an opportunity to bash her fellow cast mates in her best seller. Those books won't sell on their own! Fans hoping to see a huge blowup like on last season's opener were quickly let down. Instead of owning up to her words, Teresa continued to pass the comments in her book off as a joke that was not meant to hurt Caroline or her family. Caroline accepted her apology only to continue to bash her while working out with the fellow housewives.
Jacqueline Laurita finally decided to kick her daughter Ashley out. Who saw this one coming? Ashley not only deserves to be out of the house for her disrespectful attitude, but she also needs a good tongue-lashing from the panel of Fashion Police for her cheap platinum blonde hair and new full lips. Check the title hun. This is Real Housewives of New Jersey. She looks like a reject from the Beverly Hills franchise. Gross.
It's Teresa against the other housewives this season. Things heated up at last season's reunion and they've only gotten hotter since. Not only is Teresa in hot water with her family, but the few jabs that she took in her book may finally be the last straw for her friendships as well. The show's table-flipping-hot-head is also dealing with various tabloid stories this season and the possibility of her husband heading to jail. Combine this with the ongoing competition with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and you've got the perfect recipe for another explosive season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Only time will tell if the same family and frenemy drama will be enough to keep fans tuned in every week.
