Selena Gomez is embracing her Mexican heritage by recording her very first Spanish language album. Even thought the Hit the Lights and Love You Like A Love Song singer has been concentrating the majority of her efforts on her acting career, she admits to excitement over returning to the recording studio to do this album.
According to a report from FOX News, Gomez admits she lost her ability to speak Spanish fluently when she went to school. She wants to perfect it again, however, to maintain good contact with her audience.
Rather than releasing her Spanish language album right away, it will be promoted by the release of a few singles first.
"So it's just all timing. I have a few other songs to do and it will come out. I promise," Selena Gomez says.
Selena has enjoyed a whirlwind year on the concert stage and on film sets, in addition to enjoying time with boyfriend Justin Bieber. She and the Boyfriend singer have been dating for well over a year now.
Recently wrapping filming on the Spring Breakers set, Selena Gomez will soon be overseas filming yet another movie with Ethan Hawke.
Are you excited to learn that Selena is embracing her heritage and putting out a Spanish language album? Do you think it will sell as well as her English language records have sold?
