Robert Pattinson is certainly putting his days as a sparkling vampire behind him. He has taken on some adventurous roles since Twilight and he is not about to stop taking chances with the films he chooses. He is out to prove he is a serious actor.
Yesterday, it was revealed Rob would be starring in a film based on the military interrogator, Eric Maddox, who tracked down Saddam Hussein. The film, Mission: Blacklist, is described by the producer as an "edge-of-your-seat thriller." It will be interesting to see Rob take on a role as an aggressive military man. As if that is not exciting enough, Rob will also star in another dramatic film, The Rover.
A rep for the actor confirmed the news earlier today, May 3. Rob will star in a film about a guy who tracks the thieves who stole his car through the Australian Outback. Apparently, the nasty thieves took something extremely valuable from the car and the man is not willing to let it go. Robert Pattinson will get to be the bad guy for real in this film. He is signed on to play one of the thieves.
The project is expected to begin filming sometime this fall on location in Australia. Are you excited to see Rob flexing his acting muscles with roles that are more mature and the polar opposite of the fantastical vampire love story?
