Hollie Cavanagh is not mourning her loss on American Idol. Sure, she wanted to win but she is proud of her accomplishments on the TV talent show where she made it all the way to the top 4 before being ousted, but she is moving on.
"I have no regrets in this whole thing," she told People. "I just felt myself getting more confident each week."
This top artist who hails from England but who lives in Texas recently showed that confidence she spoke about, letting her big sound out in amazing numbers for the past few weeks. Yes, she peaked at the right time even if she didn't get the votes needed to be included as one of the top 3 contestants.
That job is left for Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips, and Joshua Ledet. The latter finalist was apparently bereft when Hollie was told she was leaving American Idol and he cried so much that Cavanagh got caught up in his emotions.
That said, being in the music business can make for a rollercoaster of emotions for all kinds of reasons, rejection being one of them. But Hollie Cavanagh, who says "Music is what I want to do for the rest of my life", seems to be a person who can handle the rocky road ahead. She has the talent and she has the right attitude.
So good luck to an amazing contestant on American Idol who seems to be grounded as she spreads her wings to create a career that is bound to see many happy moments.
With that in mind, do you agree that it was time for Hollie Cavanagh to leave AI? Who do you think is the next to go? Who do you think will win this very competitive TV talent show? Please weigh in.
