One Direction has become a worldwide phenomenon. Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have become the next major boy band to dominate the hearts of young fans (and some older ones) everywhere. There is one downfall though.
As One Direction continues to pick up fans, it's the parents of fans picking up those pesky bills. Simon Cowell is the driving force behind the band and you know what that means: they're an expensive luxury to have.
One fan's mother, Grace Rivera, admitted the band has taken a toll on her wallet. She said, "It's very expensive. I don't know if you can see, Jordan had that one sweatshirt on and I don't even know what that cost, but it's just expensive."
Besides sweatshirts, Rivera is also paying the high cost of her daughter's tickets. Oh, to be a teenager who's hopelessly in love with no concept of cost. Those kids better enjoy these years because it won't be long before they are footing the bill themselves. By then, they'll be more selective of what music they like and what items they purchase. Will One Direction still be their favorite band in 5 or 10 years? Probably not.
