'NCIS' Season 10 Spoilers: A Possible Return...

The NCIS season 9 finale ended with nearly all their lives in danger and Dr. Ryan leaving, all because of things that Harper Dearing did. Will Jamie Lee Curtis be back for the show's tenth season?

Dearing proved just how much he could do in the finale to any of them. There was that bomb in Vance's car that led to fans left wondering all summer if anyone in the building when it went off will die. Then there's what drove Dr. Ryan to leave: her ex-husband was no longer locked up where he should be. So will she be back?

That's what Entertainment Weekly asked executive producer Gary Glasberg, and he said, " The opportunity is still there Â— the chance is still there. We'll have to see. Story-wise, the mystery of her ex-husband being released from prison is still out there, and it's certainly something we could pick up again." That's not going to happen anytime soon, but that doesn't mean NCIS season 10 couldn't bring her back at some point. After all, she didn't say much about what her ex-husband did to land himself in prison, just that he hurt people. That's something that they should definitely explore at some point in the future. With the series showing no sign of slowing down and just getting better and more successful, they'll certainly have time to do just that.

Dr. Ryan left to keep her son safe, and that meant the end of her relationship with Gibbs. It had been nice to see Gibbs in a relationship again and happy. He hasn't exactly had much luck in that department, and earlier in the season, the series reminded you of what he lost (Shannon and Kelly). Gibbs is a man who does deserve some happiness after everything, but it looks like that just wasn't meant to be with Dr. Ryan.

I love NCIS and Mark Harmon. I didn't think she was the right match for him, however. I'd like to see him with a Michelle Pfeiffer or Sela Ward.

I hope the ending doesn't mean the end for you-know-who, there on the beach. And I'm also worried about Palmer.

No need to worry (I think). I'm pretty sure he renewed his contract. Palmer wasn't anywhere near there, was he? We didn't see him at the end anywhere.

I'm pretty sure there's no reason to worry about Palmer unless something happened to him off-screen. There's no way he was in the building. I think the closest to it he could've been was maybe at the airport or on a plane on the way back, but then you'd wonder why Ducky wasn't with him. Perhaps Palmer was saying his goodbyes to his new wife before leaving and Ducky was taking that last walk on the beach before they'd head to the airport?

I thought about Palmer telling his fiance that after the ceremony he was going back to help his team. I'm thinking no one knew Palmer was there and they deliberately didn't show him.

I sure hope Ducky renewed his contract. The phone call was to tell him a bomb went off but they didn't know who made it. I love David McCalum. He looks so great and is one of the most interesting characters.

When none of the team was able to make it to the wedding, I wondered why they spent several weeks talking about it. Now I'm hoping it wasn't to just kill him off.

The way they ended it, it could be anything.

I have to agree I do not want Ryan back she was not a good match at all for Gibbs, i hope she stays gone

David has signed on for 2 more years, so Ducky will certainly be back next season. I think they've mainly gone down that route as a way to shift more responsibility onto Palmer. We can obviously not be sure where he is at the time of the explosion, so he could be injured, but he won't be killed off as he too has renewed his contract - and as Ducky recovers Palmer will get a chance to step forward a bit and really show what he can do. I think it will be good for his character.

I love the entire cast, and I want September to come fast so that we get to find out exactly what happens next, but Jamie Lee Curtis should be a closed chapter. In fact any screen time she has had has just made me cringe, and I have even skipped her scenes at times! I have nothing against her as an actress in general but her character was really over the top and annoying, and the way she portrayed her felt all wrong. You got the impression that she was trying to be sexy and mysterious, constantly. I definitely think that Gibbs could do with a bit of a love life, I do, but Ryan was wrong, wrong, wrong! Wish they hadn't killed off Jenny to be honest for that reason because that felt a lot more natural.

I wasn't crazy about Jenny either. I liked the blond he was dating a few seasons back. I forget he rname but she's been in a lot of shows. I liked the actress too. Jamie Lee Curtis just seemed way too old for him and what would he do with a son? He's already got Denozzo and McGee. LOL

I'm going to have to agree with all those who say they'd rather not see her come back. However, knowing my man Jethro's hero complex, she will be. Remember she left, not because of Dearing's actions, but because her she found out her ex-husband was released from prison. I suspect she will come back to Gibbs for help when he poses a threat to her and her son.... what's his name. (He was a brat)

JLC is a great actress, just not the right fit at all for NCIS she needs to not come back

Not only was JLC not right for Gibbs but she was all wrong for the show...NCIC team suddenly needing the help of the Psych Dept. just didn't cut it. Why would a man like Gibbs who trusts no one, be attracted to a women who makes her living playing with people's heads? She started out just being annoying and ended up a total distraction who managed to take screen time away from the team. Since she is a personal friend of Harmon, we will probably see her again...hopefully not in an arc, just to tie up loose ends and go away. Gibbs will survive and,hopefully, realize how lucky he is to have escaped the nutty doctor's clutches. Please - no more kissing - it is hard to watch him kissing his 'sister'. Whoever paired them up (Harmon?) really missed the mark. There are so many arcs to follow and loose ends to tie up and she is not one of them. Move on NCIS and get back to basics.

Please, please...we need to be done with Dr. Ryan...all this business about Gibbs being happy is a crock...he never seemed happy with her...he never seemed to trust her and was always on guard with her around...so, they hit the sack...big deal...I am less interested in what her husband is all about and would rather learn what her connection is to Dearing...I think she was always up to something...a one episode appearance by JLC should end her involvement with NCIS and Gibbs.

I agree JLC is a good actress. I also agree she's not a good fit for NCIS or for Gibbs (nor is Dr. Ryan). She's not that exciting or that interesting. I don't see that she helps the show. There must be a lot of other more interesting/exciting characters the show's writers can come up with, both for the show and for Gibbs. Ziva David and Abby Sciuto are interesting and exciting characters. Surely the writers can come up with someone more like them for Gibbs and for the story.
